The Pravcice Gate (Pravčická brána)

The best known attraction of the Bohemian Switzerland is situated exactly on the Czech-Germany border (415 meters above sea level) about 20 km north from Decin.

The biggest sandstone natural arch in Europe is 16 m high, the span of the arch at the bottom is 26.5 m, width is 7-8 m and minimum thickness is 3 m.

Arrival

Take the 261 road from Decin to Hrensko. Parking at the end of Hrensko or in the Mezni Louka (6km).

Access

The entrance to the natural arch is 3,5 km by walking from the Hrensko parking. In the tourist season is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., November to March on weekends only from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
