Roklice and the Loubenský Stream

Roklice and the Loubenský Stream

The sandstone cliffs of the Roklice Valley and the Loubenský Stream make up one of the oldest climbing areas in Kokořínsko. It was back in 1909 that climbers made the first ascents of rock towers such as Zlý bratr (Wicked Brother), Větrná díra (Windy Hole) and Vosa (Wasp). The rock towers extend along both sides of the Dolský Stream, from the road as far as Chudý Hrádek, and along the Loubenský Stream from the little village of Loubí to where it enters the Roklice Valley. There are also several towers near Popelov, while further climbing sites can be found in the Peklo Valley and on the outskirts of Česká Lípa near Sosnová.
