Tachov Hill
No marked hiking trail leads to the summit. In geological terms, the site forms part of the Czech Cretaceous Basin and illustrates the contact between Tertiary phonolite and Cretaceous sandstone. Much of the volcanic rock was quarried away, and what was once the highest point of the Jestřebí Basin has almost disappeared as a distinctive landmark. The north-western slope offers views of the Ralsko Uplands, Lake Mácha and the Central Bohemian Uplands.
