Lhotka is a small village located in the Kokořín region. It is one of the typical villages in the area and is known for its peaceful rural setting, scattered houses, and proximity to forests and sandstone cliffs. The village has only a few hundred residents and has retained the traditional character of a Central Bohemian village.

The name “Lhotka” is linked to the medieval practice of founding villages under the so-called “Lhotka law,” under which new settlers were granted a period of exemption from taxes and duties. The village was likely founded in the Middle Ages during the colonization of this region.

For a long time, the village's history was primarily linked to agriculture, forestry, and small-scale farming. The residents relied on the surrounding forests and land for their livelihood, and the village retained its predominantly agricultural character for centuries.

Like many other villages in the Kokořín region, Lhotka was also influenced by developments in the area surrounding Kokořín Castle and the estate of the Berka of Dubá family.

Today, Lhotka is primarily a quiet residential and recreational village. Many cottages are used for weekend getaways, and tourists seeking nature and relaxation come to the area. Landscape conservation and the preservation of traditional rural architecture play a significant role here.
