From Doksy to Vrátenská Mountain for beautiful views
Doksy – Tachov – Blatce – Houska – Vrátenská hora – Nosálov – Pankrác – Okna – Obora – Doksy
The route is about 37 km long; it is a moderately challenging route, also suitable for trekking and mountain bikes.
This tour offers a diverse mix of historical sites, beautiful natural scenery and rural architecture. The route is moderately challenging and ideal for a full-day trip with rest stops. You can also complete it by bike.
From the château in Doksy, head down Pražská Street toward Tachov. You will soon join bike path No. 0015 and ride through the picturesque villages of Ždírec and Blatce to the Pod Houskou signpost. Follow bike route 0003 to Houska Castle. From there, continue along bike route No. 001 and, at the junction near Vojetín, join route No. 0002, which will take you all the way to Vrátenská Mountain and its observation tower. From Vrátenská Mountain, you’ll descend to Libovice and follow bike trail No. 143 to Nosálov, famous for its log cabins. Here, take route 0014, which will take you back to Doksy.
