Václav Levý Route

Václav Levý Route

The blue-marked hiking loop trail is 11 km long and connects Želízy, Tupadly and Liběchov. It winds through unique rock reliefs carved into the sandstone cliffs between 1841 and 1846 by sculptor Václav Levý. The main attractions are the monumental Čertovy hlavy (Devil’s Heads) and the Klácelka, Harfenice and Had caves. The trail, which offers a fascinating blend of nature and art, is well marked, and you can start it, for example, in the village of Želízy, from where it’s just a short walk to the first rock carvings.

The trail is ideal for hikers but not suitable for bicycles or strollers.
